East Canton Man Delighted To Have Gone Solar
Mr. Richard Pero was ecstatic with the installation of his 9.3 kW solar power system. Pero installed 30 Canadian Solar Quartech Max Power CS6X 320 watt polycrystalline solar panels and his Fronius Symo Lite 10.0 TL string inverter. His panel efficiency is 17% while his inverter efficiency is 97%.
"I like the idea to use renewable resources and I like the idea of saving money," said Pero. "I guess I like both the economic and environmental reasons for going solar."
His system is forecasted to produce over 12,000 kWh of electricity per year. This is enough to offset the burning of six tons of coal. Based on a state average of $0.12 per kWh, this would be a savings of more than $1,400 per year.
"Before, my bills were $200 a month. The first month, we started in May, my first bill was $10. And for June the bill was $8.60. We've had a lot of sunshine these past few months and I was really pleased with it. "
Pero contacted YellowLite in October of 2015 and the solar panels were installed in April. When asked what the deciding factor was between YellowLite and other solar companies, Pero said it was solar consultant Jose's patience and intelligence. "He was very nice, knowledgeable. Any questions I had he got back to me quick. If I didn't understand something, he took me through things. I was really impressed by him."
Mr. Pero originally shopped his system around and got competing quotes. When asked about his shopping experience, he said price was a huge factor. "I saw YellowLite on the Internet. I also looked at another company. The other company wanted me to go with optimizers and insisted that I get them. I liked YellowLite's recommendations more. The other company wanted to charge me $4,000 more. So I went with YellowLite."
Pero had been thinking about solar for years but waited until this year to pull the trigger. It was ultimately the savings from the installation as well as superior customer service that won the day.
The equity that has been added to the Pero's property is approximately $28,000. It should be noted that the added equity value to your property is based on a rate of $3.11 a watt from the latest research but it is always a good idea to contact your realtor.
