La Rue, Ohio Man Glad To Have Gone Solar

Mr. Jeramey Smith was enthralled with the installation of his 9.9 kW solar power system. Smith installed 32 Canadian Solar CS6X model 310 watt poly-crystalline panels to go along with his two SMA Sunny Boy string inverters. His panel efficiency is over 16% while his inverter efficiency is 96%.

"I had spoken to another company about coming out and taking a look at my property but they wanted something more official before they would visit me," said Smith. "YellowLite was more willing to satisfy my curiosity about solar. I hadn't done a lot of research up to that point and YellowLite was more willing to take the time to talk to me about it."

Smith's system is forecasted to produce more than 12,000  kWh of electricity per year. This is enough to offset the burning of 6 tons of coal. Based on a state average of $0.12 per kWh, this would be savings of nearly $1,500 a year.

"It's supposed to make 12,000 kWh a year which would be a complete offset. My bill before was about $1,500-2,000 a year. All told, I'm expecting around a ten year payback period."

Smith contacted YellowLite back in September of 2015 and his solar panels were installed in October, 2015. When asked what the deciding factor was between YellowLite and other solar companies he received quotes from, Smith said that, "Abe was a good guy. He explained everything in detail. He made things simple and easy to understand. He did everything that I wanted to do the way that I wanted them done."

Smith's primary reason for going solar was to save money. However, has also has an environmental conscience and wanted to help the natural ecosystem. In short, Smith has, "...always had an eye toward energy conservation."

One thing is for certain: Smith loves his solar energy system and had a positive experience getting it installed. "I was here when they were putting in the system and everyone seemed to be really nice."

The equity that has been added to the Morrison's house is approximately $30,000. It should be noted that the added equity value to your property is based on a rate of $3.11 a watt from the latest research but it is always a good idea to contact your realtor.
