Candice Brothers has been for YellowLite for approximately two years. She has an M.S. in Geology from the University of Toledo and is highly involved in the sustainability community. Candice is an invaluable resource for both YellowLite and our clients. She is a connoisseur of fine teas and can be seen bringing in her own specialty tea flavors into the office.
What is your position at YellowLite?
Permit and Interconnection Coordinator.I am YellowLite's face with local governments.
What types of activities are you in charge of?
Acquiring materials for permits and interconnection, submitting permit and interconnection applications, meeting with local governments to explain solar installations, setting up inspections.
Who are you?
A long time resident of Cleveland, OH, I've been interested in environmental issues from a very young age. I set up a paper recycling program at my high school then went on to earn my bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Heidelberg University. I then decided to pursue a Master's degree in Geology from the University of Toledo.
Why did you decide to work in solar?
I wanted to help people, companies, and municipalities become more sustainable and solar seemed to be a both economical and environmentally responsible way to do it.
What are your hobbies?
Minecraft, reading, and board games.
What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I earned the Girl Scout Silver Award.
2. I speak German.
3. I do ballroom dance.
